Nautical Classroom Decor for the New School Year

Hey guys!

Hope everyone is having a great summer! Mine has been fun so far but I am excited to get back in the classroom and start decorating for the upcoming year. At my school we can't get back in until August 5th because they are repainting so I am patiently waiting.

While thinking of a new theme for my classroom, it's hard for me to shy away from an ocean theme. (It's where I pretend I am during those stressful days in the school year) I have had a beach theme for the majority of my teaching career but I wanted to spice things up a bit. Instead of just bright colors, I wanted to make it more beach house like or nautical. I could already picture myself getting tired of the red and blue, so since pink is my favorite color, it seemed obvious to change the red to pink. I searched a tpt and found the perfect clipart/color combo that won't be too many of the same colors at MyClipArtStore. I wanted to do a lot of navy and white fabrics in my classroom, so I like the fact that there is that light blue and pink added to this and took advantage of it when making my decor set. Here are some pictures of the set that you can get at my tpt store by clicking here or any of the pictures below.

Behavior Chart - I will put spray painted white clothes pins with their names on it and they will start out on green every day.

Table Numbers - I also included circles with just the picture inside. I haven't decided yet whether I am using numbers of calling the tables by picture. For example, "Starfish may line up now."

Have a wonderful weekend!!
